Surprise

Add total shock. ha ha

I'm back.  Sort of.
I've been moving and now live in  a
beautiful mountain range.
It's very restful and lovely here.

These days are perilous days. Sad tidings constantly assail our
ears and cause us to wonder where it's all going to end.
I have a promise that I cling to the way a baby clings to
a security blanket. It's a promise from God and He keeps His promises.
I advise you to memorize it. In troubled times these things that God will do
are a solid comfort.

Psalm 91

 1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
       will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

 2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
       my God, in whom I trust."

 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
       and from the deadly pestilence.    ( the things the devil tries to trap us with)

 4 He will cover you with his feathers,
       and under his wings you will find refuge;
       his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. (He is our shield His TRUTH)

 5 You will not fear the terror of night,  ( snipers, terrorist etc)
       nor the arrow that flies by day,

 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
       nor the plague that destroys at midday.   (cancer is called the plague of our age)

 7 A thousand may fall at your side,
       ten thousand at your right hand,
       but it will not come near you.         ( we've seen it already)

 8 You will only observe with your eyes
       and see the punishment of the wicked.

 9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
       even the LORD, who is my refuge-

 10 then no harm will befall you,
       no disaster will come near your tent.

 11 For he will command his angels concerning you
       to guard you in all your ways;     ( my favorite part)

 12 they will lift you up in their hands,
       so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

 13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
       you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

 14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
       I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

 15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
       I will be with him in trouble,
       I will deliver him and honor him.

 16 With long life will I satisfy him
       and show him my salvation."

Such wonderful promises of protection are from our Father to us. We can claim them and appropriate them for ourselves and our family and friends.  I can't tell you how many times I've prayed this over everyone.
It's my lifebuoy in a sea of misery.

God bless you.

One of my favorite scriptures
But I like this version best, it gives me hope when I feel like
things are not going anywhere but down.

Jeremiah 29:11

  11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Proverbs 4:25-27

Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.                     Proverbs 4:25-27

Romans 8:28

And we know that in all things
God works for the good of those
who love him,who have been called according to his purpose.
